The Gutter and the Grave by Ed McBain - A Review (4 Star)

Again a fairly solid and entertaining story from Ed McBain. A flawed character with his own ghosts and an entertainingly complex, but not convoluted plot, make the pages turn nice and fast. Most people will guess the murderer's identity quite early on as the clues are not too well hidden, but the journey is still worthwhile.
