I am currently working on two projects...
The first is a
continuation of the Marshall Mysteries series. Whilst I intend to
produce more of these, there will be an initial collection of four
stories with a combined arc. These four stories will tackle the "Jakob
situation" that is central to the character of Marshall.
I will
not go into too much detail on the next book in the series (which will
be the third in the collection) for the sake of spoilers but I can say a
few things...
Marshall is driven by the events of the previous
books to seek out information surrounding his brother in the settlement
known as "The Ark." Unfortunately, with no active case in the area,
Marshall's superiors are reluctant to let him pursue these personal
investigations on work time. Marshall has to lie and manipulate, making
his already fragile relationships stretch to breaking, to follow the
trail of his brother.
Needless to say, when Marshall does get to
"The Ark" things quickly become much more complicated than initially
thought, forcing Marshall to battle tangible foes as well as his own
demons.
The other project I am working on is called "Adonis" and
is another tech-noir story involving a slightly more distant future,
which, as in the Marshall Mysteries, affords an interesting platform for
the classic noir / PI story.
